Deputies chase down woman, endure dog attack | newarkadvocate. UNION TOWNSHIP A woman and her dog were detained by deputies Thursday evening after both were uncooperative, according to a report from the Licking County Sheriff’s Office. Initially responding to a Licking County Children’s Services matter on Refugee Road, deputies found themselves chasing an irate woman who had left her driveway in a reckless manner. The woman sped down Canyon and Beaver Run roads and was forcing other vehicles off the road, all the while ignoring the flashing lights and sirens of deputies in pursuit, according to the report. When she was forcibly stopped at the intersection of Beaver Run Road and Ohio 37, the woman exited the vehicle and began screaming at deputies. She also released a Jack Russell terrier who latched onto the pant leg of a deputy, attempted to bite her leg and then proceeded to bite on her thumb and forefinger, the report reads. read more…
